The wild things gathered in Batesville this September for an unforgettable day of learning, laughter, and connection at the 28th Annual Child Care Conference – Where the Wild Things Play: Unleashing Adventure in Early Childhood! 🦁👑🌙
Held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville Independence Hall, the conference brought together early childhood professionals from across Arkansas for a full day packed with inspiration, practical strategies, and plenty of fun.
Attendees enjoyed choosing from 30 engaging breakout sessions, exploring exhibitor booths from organizations around the state, and networking with fellow educators who share a passion for supporting young children and families.
The day featured a high-energy Opening Keynote from Ron Shuali and a memorable Closing Session with Wyletta Johnson — both bringing humor, encouragement, and powerful reminders about the importance of joy and connection in early childhood education.
Of course, no wild adventure would be complete without surprises! Throughout the day, participants enjoyed door prizes, special giveaways, and a delicious complimentary lunch provided thanks to the generosity of conference sponsors. Natalie’s Café served boxed lunches featuring chicken salad, ham and cheese, or turkey and cheese sandwiches, along with chips, cookies, and drinks.
From the themed decorations to the excitement in every hallway conversation, the conference was a celebration of the creativity, dedication, and heart found within Arkansas’s early childhood community.
Thank you to everyone who attended, presented, exhibited, and supported this year’s event. Together, we truly unleashed the adventure in early childhood education!
