As the Local Leads initiative enters its second year, early childhood leaders across Conway, White, and Cleburne counties are invited to take part in a unique opportunity: the Leadership Journey Community of Practice (CoP).
What is the Leadership Journey CoP?
The Community of Practice is more than just a leadership training—it’s a year-long journey designed specifically for early childhood leaders. Through both in-person and virtual sessions, participants will:
Connect with other early childhood leaders
Share challenges and explore solutions
Gain practical tools and fresh strategies to strengthen their programs
Receive 14 PDR credits at no cost
Facilitated by guest guide Bethany Rees, the CoP creates a collaborative space for real conversations that lead to real change.
Upcoming County Meetings
Our first meeting’s theme, Back to School, celebrates the dedication and passion of early childhood educators—the true heart of this adventure. Just as students return to classrooms filled with possibility, Local Leads is setting the stage for leaders to reconnect, learn, and grow together.
The Leadership Journey officially begins at the Local Leads county meetings this September:

A Community of Change
The Leadership Journey CoP is rooted in the belief that “Each one of us can make a difference. Together we can create change.” By joining, early childhood leaders not only invest in their own growth but also contribute to stronger classrooms, programs, and communities.
RSVP and Join the Adventure
Educators are encouraged to RSVP by Tuesday, September 2, 2025 by emailing apinkston@wrpdd.org. Guests are welcome to bring a colleague or friend as they step onto the Yellow Brick Road toward leadership growth and collaboration.
